The Process
Discovery Consultation
01.
This is the foundation of the project.
I visit your home and assess how the space is currently used. We discuss routines, movement, light, proportion, storage, and practical constraints. I take measurements and produce exploratory sketches. The conversation focuses equally on function and atmosphere.
-
• A written spatial assessment
• Key priorities identified
• Initial layout direction
• Practical recommendations
• Guidance on what should remain and what should change
This stage does not include developed design, visualisations, or technical drawings. It is a diagnostic session designed to establish direction before investment in further design work.
Concept Development
02.
This stage translates insight into a defined design proposal.
Based on the consultation, I develop a coherent spatial concept grounded in the existing conditions of the space. Decisions are shaped by how the room is used rather than abstract preference.
-
• Layout proposal
• Material direction
• Moodboard
• Three dimensional visualisation
• Printable concept document
This package provides a clear design direction that can be understood without interpretation. It does not include trade ready documentation, contractor coordination, or procurement management.
Design Development
03.
For projects requiring greater precision, the concept is refined into detailed documentation.
Spatial decisions are tested, adjusted, and prepared for implementation. This stage is suitable for complex rooms or multi room projects where accuracy is essential.
-
• Dimensioned technical drawings
• Refined layout plans
• Lighting strategy where required
• Specification guidance
• Site visits for design alignment
This level includes implementation support but does not include project management or direct procurement handling.
Implementation Support and Completion
04.
Where agreed, I remain involved during execution to ensure the design is realised as intended.
This may include site visits, final styling, and spatial adjustments once the space is complete. Professional photography can be arranged upon completion.
Scope and Progression
Each stage is structured to stand independently while allowing the scope to expand when required.
You may begin with consultation and later move into concept development. Larger projects may proceed through all stages from discovery to completion.
The level of involvement is defined clearly before work begins.
