Spatial Consultation and Concept Session

£325

  • The consultation looks closely at how the space supports rest, focus, movement, and routine.

Attention is given to sensory conditions including light, sound, visual load, and material contact, as well as to layout, circulation, and storage. Seemingly small misalignments often have a disproportionate impact on comfort and ease. Identifying them early prevents unnecessary or ineffective changes later.

  • The session takes place in your space and lasts approximately 90 minutes.

We begin by moving through the space together. I observe how it is used and ask targeted questions to understand habits, patterns, and points of tension. This allows the conversation to stay grounded in real conditions rather than preference alone.

Where an in-person meeting is not possible, an alternative format can be arranged following an initial exchange.

  • Following the consultation, you receive a written summary outlining key observations and priorities.

    This includes:

    • a clear spatial direction

    • practical recommendations that can be implemented without a full redesign

    • guidance on what to adjust now, what to approach later, and what can be left as it is

The outcome is clarity. You leave knowing what matters and how to proceed.

  • This session is appropriate if you feel unsettled in your space, sense that it affects your sleep, focus, comfort, or mood, or want to make thoughtful changes without committing to a larger project.

It is also suitable if you are considering further design work and want a grounded starting point.

This session is designed to help you understand how your space is functioning and what adjustments would meaningfully improve daily life.

The work begins with direct experience of the space. Being present allows for accurate observation of light, proportion, movement, sound, material, and everyday use. These observations inform decisions about layout, atmosphere, and visual choices such as colour, placement, and what the space can comfortably hold.

The consultation draws on environmental psychology, spatial ergonomics, and lived observation. Decisions are developed in relation to how the space is used and experienced over time, rather than in isolation.

This stage often stands on its own. It can also serve as the foundation for further design work.

Getting started

Every project begins with a short questionnaire. It helps me understand how you experience your space before we speak.
